Join Amanda Deutch for a virtual walk to Coney Island Creek, and the parks that surround it.
Born and raised in the archipelago of New York City, Amanda Deutch is a writer and artist. Deutch’s poetry has been published in The New York Times, Oversound, The Rumpus, Cimarron Review, Antenna, and many other journals and magazines. She is the author of several poetry chapbooks, most recently, Bodega Night Pigeon Riot (above/ground press, 2020) and Surf Avenue and 29th Street Coney Island (Least Weasel Press, 2018). Her poems have been nominated twice for The Pushcart Prize. As the founder and artistic director of Parachute Literary Arts, she conceives of large-scale gatherings of artists and poets for site-specific performances in Coney Island. Deutch lives in Brooklyn, where she works as a Library Specialist for children throughout the five boroughs.
